courting patience

no one notices

the vacant house
the wall flower, whispered about by
the pretty willows

tears become bricks of loneliness

the door's still lovely mouth
murmurs: why the fence?

it isn't right

I need another family, so that I may
reclaim my balance

a new family
to be my everything.

  1. I love to look at vacant houses at night - each one tells a story.

  2. This is so lovely, haunting also...very nice. "I need another family so that I may reclaim my balance..." Yes, I can imagine an empty house whispering these words.

  6. It is a human trait to give inanimate object feelings. You have done this beautifully here.
